Split PDF is a free, browser-based tool that divides a single PDF document into multiple separate files — exactly where you choose. Unlike basic splitters that only cut at fixed intervals, this tool gives you precise visual control: upload your document, see thumbnail previews of every page, then click the scissors icon between any two pages to place a split point. Pages are colour-coded instantly to show which output file each one belongs to, so you can preview the exact result before committing to anything.
Add as many split points as you like to produce any number of output files, or switch to Quick Split modes: split every N pages for uniform chunks, or extract every page as its own individual PDF. This is especially useful for separating monthly bank statements that were scanned into one long file, splitting a combined research document into chapters, dividing a company report into sections for different departments, or breaking up a large PDF to satisfy email attachment limits.
All processing runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly and pdf-lib — your PDF is never uploaded to any server.
