Download auto-generated subtitles from any YouTube video as SRT or plain text. Supports 12+ languages.
SRT (SubRip Subtitle) is the most widely supported subtitle format. It contains numbered subtitle blocks, each with a timestamp range and the text. SRT files work with VLC, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, and most video platforms.
Only videos with auto-generated captions or manually uploaded subtitles can be downloaded. Private videos, videos where the creator has disabled captions, and very short videos often have no subtitles available.
In VLC, go to Subtitle > Add Subtitle File. In video editors like Premiere or DaVinci, import the SRT as a captions track. You can also use it as a transcript for SEO, repurposing content, or creating blog posts.
The video may not have auto-generated captions in the selected language. Try switching to English, or check if the video's creator has uploaded captions in a different language using the YouTube captions menu.
SRT includes timestamps and sequential numbering — ideal for video players. TXT is plain text with no timestamps — ideal for reading transcripts, searching content, or copying text for repurposing.
